SupervisionI supervise experienced and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists individually and in small groups in my private practice.
Over the past twelve years I have supervised the counselling work of those working privately and of those practising in various agencies. These have included Andover Crisis Centre, Cruse and other bereavement organisations, The Medialle Trust,The Olive Branch, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, RASAC and a number of HE/FE institutions, schools, GP surgeries and hospices. I am an approved supervisor for students on the Gestalt and the Integrative Psychotherapy training courses at the Metanoia Institute in London.
Supervision is a crucial part of counselling and therapy work. It provides a reflective space for the practitioner to review their work and their reactions to their work in a supportive, stimulating and non-shaming environment. Supervision helps to ensure that the practitioner is able to achieve effective work with their clients as well as being an important part of their own self-care. I have a relational integrative approach where I am interested in co-creating an enquiry about your work, which leads towards greater understanding and a broader range of ways of working.
I trained as a supervisor with The Centre for Supervision and Team Development.
